We took a behind-the-scenes tour of one of the nationally top-rated haunted houses ( https://13thgate.com/ ). The smell in the first room was awful. One of the kids asked about it and the tour guide pulled what looked like a Glade air freshener off an inconspicuous shelf. The scent was rotting corpse.
I don’t think it was this one, but it was something similar:
